Storm Bay Cottage at Flinders Bay was designed in collaboration with Paul Carlon for a professional couple to share with their extended family and rent out for holiday accommodation. Carefully built to withstand the coastal environment of Flinders Bay, the house serves as a practical and robust holiday house. Constructed of timber frame with Hardies cladding, powdercoat aluminium windows and Colourbond Ultra roof, the house requires limited maintenance.

A north- facing courtyard with shower and storage shed is enclosed by rock walls and a jarrah fence which offers privacy, winter sun and respite from the wind. The roof gives a nod to the lighthouse cottages at the nearby Cape and the external colours settle the house into the landscape. Expansive windows and an alfresco terrace celebrate the views across the bay with all its moods.
